What We Do
Church Leadership

Who We Are

NEW MONMOUTH has been serving the Lexington and Rockbridge areas since 1746. We are a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), a body of believers numbering 2.5 million people in 11,260 congregations. Our name comes from the Greek word presbuteros, meaning "elder." Our organization is a representative democracy ruled by elders who are elected by the congregation.

We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (PC-USA) and a member of the Shenandoah Presbytery.

We began in......

We are a community Church residing in a growing neighborhood. Our church family is a diverse mixture of people: young and old from north and south, blue-collar and professional, life long Presbyterians and many from other religious backgrounds and traditions.

We are a congregation deeply committed to a vision of God's openness to all people in our wonderful diversity, to the spiritual nourishment of both the head and the heart, and to making a difference in our community and world. Whether you worship with us, seek a spiritual home, yearn to make a difference in your life and community, attend an educational, cultural, or community event, or simply stop by to view the facilities, here you will find a place of hospitality, spiritual nurture, challenge, and energy.

We believe......

Our Vision is.....

Our mission is.....

We are called to.....
